What is Capital Dance Revolution?
Capital Dance Revolution is the premiere youth competitive dance company in the Madison, WI Area. CDR in unique compared to other youth area dance studios and companies in the composition of the company. CDR is composed of an elite group of local, talented, and dedicated students ages 12-18 years old. Company members become versatile dancers, taking classes and rehearsing in various genres of dance. Capital Dance Revolution competes and attends conventions regionally throughout the year. For the most part, CDR dancers take class and rehearse as a unit. Although CDR does have dancers ranging in ages, they are not broken up into different age groups/companies. The dancers show their love and passion for dance through their work ethic in the studio and on stage and are recognized at competition and conventions, winning many scholarships and stand-out dancer awards.
The director, Jessica Cseter has received many awards for choreography, dance excellence, federal dance choice awards, and overall awards. Jessica prides herself on having diverse choreography and well trained and synchronized dancers. The time commitment is 2-3 times a week including weekday nights and weekends. They compete currently 4-5 times throughout the year in the Madison and Chicago area receiving high honors. They take class in ballet and jazz technique and rehearse in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop currently (competing in those 4 genres). The director will assess the talents of the company and compete in what she feels best suits the dancers. Please fill out the "Contact Us" box, and request to audition in the message section. Please list the dancer's name and age. An e-mail will follow with company and audition information along with a registration form. Please fill out the form and return by June 13th, 2012.
